The Portrait Series was designed for the family who has one favorite photograph of a loved one that they would like preserved in bronze. Simply designed with an architectural style border, the Portrait memorial is complemented by the family's choice of three textured backgrounds (Pebble, Leather and Smooth) and background colors (Hunter Green, Black Cherry, and Classique Brown).The portrait itself is available in traditional oxide or Brilliant Impressions color.  To order a memorial grave marker please email us with the cemetery’s name and phone number along with the name of the loved one (or owner of the grave space) and you can email the photo or send it to us and we will make a copy and send you the original back to you. We will make a computer drawn proof for your approval before we make the memorial.

How to order this unique memorial:

To order a Portrait Series Bronze Memorial do the following...
   1st   Check with the cemetary to find out their rules and fee.
   2nd  Email us or send us your photos and let us know if you have a particular composition in mind for the memorial.  Be sure to understand that the better the quality of the original photo - the better the quality of the finished bronze images.  We cannot make images better than they actually are.
   3rd  We will get a computer drawing to you (usually within 1-2 weeks) for your approval.  Once you approve the composition you can call us with your credit card or send a check in the mail and we will start the production of the memorial.  Please allow 5-6 weeks for production and delivery after it is approved by you.

Here  are some helpful photo suggestions to ensure your bronze plaques  are of the highest quality:

• You  will want good contrast and sharpness in the photo the  better the photo the better the bronze will finish
• Since  white engraves as the highest point and black is the lowest  point, you will want the background set to be black and  the image lighter than the background this will ensure  that the image is higher than the background. This usually  means having to clip the image out and putting it on a black  background.
• Highlights  on noses, glasses etc should probably be removed they  tend to look strange since they are the lightest areas like  a bump on the end of the nose (The bronze will create enough  of it’s own highlights, especially with the gloss  finish)
• Resolution  of the photo is very important. Photos should be a minimum  of 150 dpi at the final size. 200 dpi is preferable.
• Photos  should be saved preferably as a tif format. Photos that are highly jpeg compressed tend to look bad in bronze,  so we do not recommend saving as a jpeg.
